Baby Bath Time

Weston in his WashPOD
I posted this picture on facebook of Weston in his cute tub and sparked a little conversation about "bucket tubs".  The tub that Weston has is a WashPOD by Prince Lionheart that we registered for at Babies 'R' Us.  I too had seen the commercials that advertised that babies liked these tubs naturally because they felt like they were in the womb and all that....really, I just think it prevents them from getting cold because they are submerged in water.

The first time I tried to use this tub, Weston was just too little...his wobbly head was difficult to keep out of the water and he didn't enjoy me trying to hold him upright.  Now that he is 7 weeks old, he is getting better at keeping his head up, and he likes to bounce up and down in the water like a little frog...it's cute.

The biggest downfall of this tub is that I can't really wash his hair in it yet because of wobbly head thing...and I can't always get to all the creases, like his chubby thighs, so I have to lay him on the frog sponge and wash his hair over the sink and then check the crevices and make sure there isn't any stray fuzz left in there.  We do have a flat baby tub, but it's one that slides to shorten...and it leaks at the seam, so I am going to have to return it and get something else that Weston can sit and splash in when he gets a little bigger.
