Weston is 6 months old!

Yet another month has flown by, and again I can't believe it.  The fifth month was an interesting one.  Weston has been officially nursing for over a month now, which is awesome.  But, now he wakes up during the night to eat almost every night.  So, I know that he doesn't need the calories during the night, but I have enough mommy guilt from not seeing him all day to give in and nurse him anyway...leaves me sleepless, but I love it.  Hopefully he won't be greater than the 95% on his weight this well child check or else I'm gonna have to cut him off.  We started giving him some rice cereal once a day (usually at dinner), and he does seem to be getting the hang of it.  Now I know why I tell my patients that it's going to be a messy process - starting solids.  With that I have to start using some of our frozen supply...I have quite a stockpile in our deep freeze which is good for 6 months (or longer).
Weston is rolling over, but not quite able to sit up by himself yet.  He loves the saucer and the jumper at school.  We ditched the bassinet in the pack & play and lowered the bed to the bottom so now he can get used to playing in there for some individual play time.  I think he's starting to have that teething feeling, he's been drooling and chewing on things for months, but recently he actually teethes on the teethers which is kind of cute (of course the fussy part isn't so cute).

Work has been busy for me...I'm almost finished with inpatient Wards, but then I go to the Children's ER next weekend.  As much as I like the ER, there are some things that are so frustrating there (attending-specific).  But, I only have 17 shifts because we switch on July 1st (yay!), so I'll be counting them down.

Memorial Day weekend Rolland's parents came to visit and brought Arianna. It was kind of cute to finally see her and Weston interact a little...cute cousins.  Weston is pretty much already the same weight as Arianna - ex 32 week preemie who is now 15 months old.  She's got some catching up to do.   Overall, things are going pretty well...we're anticipating my mom & stepdad's visit in June...I can't wait for them to see Weston. Mom hasn't seen him since he was about 4 weeks old...now he's a totally different baby.
