New firsts...

A couple weeks ago Weston started getting his bottom two teeth in...fun times, and too cute!  The only bad part is that I started out with a cold, and then Weston got the fever/diarrhea/cranky combo.  Luckily Rolland's mom and dad came to the rescue when Weston was banned from Daycare...because we still have to go to work no matter what. Now he's feeling better though and his appetite is back to normal.  His newest funny thing is that he shakes his head as if to say "no" anytime we come near him with the nasal saline spray or his albuterol mask...he's not fussing at first, I think he just figures if he shakes his head we can't catch him to be able to get the boogers.  Little Stinker!

As far as other new things go, Rolland texted me this picture of Weston the other night when I was working nights in the PICU. He laid Weston down on his back, and immediately he flipped over to his belly to sleep...he said when he laid him in his crib his head was at one end, when he checked on him before going to bed himself, Weston was perpendicular to the wall, and then his head was at the complete opposite end when he woke up in the morning...that wiggly baby. At least he's sleeping through the night again most nights...Rolland has tried to break the wake-up cycle since he's been the one to have to get up with little man while I'm at work.  I guess Weston just wakes up during the night to get to hang out with me :)

We went out to Mexican the other night for an early dinner (breakfast for me) before I went in for my last night shift ever in the PICU...Finally Weston is a big enough boy to sit in the high chair at the restaurant without trying to throw himself back or us have to worry about him landing in the floor somehow.  Besides having to avoid getting plates too close to him, we had an enjoyable meal.  We didn't have to carry in the car seat carrier (which is getting very heavy with our near-20 pound baby in it).  He's proving to be a big boy for our trip to California in less than 2 weeks...hopefully this will go well.
