A little nursery decorating

As previously mentioned, only Grant's crib arrived before he was born, the dresser and bookcase came about 6 weeks after.  We knew we waited a little late to order them, but we at least thought that if it was made in America it would arrive sooner than 4 months, especially when the projected ship date was only about 6 weeks away. This is there we assumed wrong.

Instead of ordering directly from Young America, we went through a local Nursery store who basically ordered for us so we wouldn't have to be responsible for any mishaps. Little did we know Stanley Furniture was actually going to stop making Young America baby and children's furniture all together about the time Grant became due...luckily they completed all orders prior to this date and even though it shipped late, we did get everything including toddler rail and full bed rails for the crib conversion. I really love the Lyric crib that we picked out and the finish is "slate" colored stain which is unique. They use Greenguard, a non-gas producing stain that is safe for babies/kids. Wish I could promote this quality furniture more, but since they won't be making it, that won't be necessary.

Most of the decorations were inspired by Weston's first nursery theme (vintage travel), and were tailored to a vintage nautical theme instead. I still have a few things I want to pick up, but after 2 and a half months of waiting (after Grant was born), this is what we have thus far...
