"Go big or go home"

Rolland making giant chocolate chip pancakes
This is in reference to the breakfast we had this morning.  After a good start to the morning (Weston slept in until 5 a.m. and then didn't wake up for the day until 8:45), Rolland and I decided that we would make breakfast together.  Now, Rolland doesn't really like pancakes at all...never has, so imagine my surprise when he suggested chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast.  I'm thinking, "Awesome, I don't have to cook".  But instead I volunteered to cook the bacon and Rolland was going to try out our new $7 griddle to make the pancakes.  He pulls out the box of pancake mix and looks at the directions.  "Do you want 14 pancakes or 155?", he says...(I'm thinking neither, but again...I"m not cooking them).  Rolland gingerly mixes up some pancake mix with the Kitchen Aid mixer, pours in some chocolate chips, and then separates a bowl of mix for me while he puts bananas in his half of the mix.  The next time I turn around he has these two HUGE pancakes on the griddle...I guess he's not going to make 14 after all.   Nope, he definitely made four huge, stick-to-your-ribs pancakes for the two of us.  I commented about how these were bigger than what the directions called for, but he told me "go big or go home".  Needless to say, I could only eat one.  Besides already having done 2 loads of laundry this morning, I'd say that's a great start to the day :)
