6 Month Well Child Check

Six months has definitely been fun for Weston and for us.  He is starting to play so much more, he's rolling everywhere and even finally sitting up to play some (thank goodness). At his 6 month well child check up this month he weighed 18 pounds and 1 ounce (50th percentile), and his length was 27 inches (75th %), and of course his head is catching up to daddy's and is 44.5 cm (75%).  Besides growing well, there weren't a whole lot of new things to worry about at this check up.  Weston got his shots - and did great this time.  He's also become sort of a wheezer, although I wouldn't doubt if he has some element of tracheomalacia or something because he always has noisy breathing even when he's not sick.  This cough is back and junkier than every though, so nasal saline and the humidifier are our best friend.

We had a great visit from my Mom and Jay this month, which was greatly appreciated because they helped watch Weston while I was working in the ER some, but kind of stinky because I didn't get to visit with them nearly as much as I should have.

Weston and I went shopping the other day and he entertained everyone he saw with his impressive raspberries - continuous and juicy.  He's still such a trooper when we're out and about, does great in his carseat still, and recently we started to use the umbrella stroller, which he loves because he can people watch and see what's going on.  Weston is eating all kinds of foods now...I'm trying to make some when I have time...this week I made him acorn squash and sweet potatoes, of course the bananas are easy and I still have some avocado slices in the freezer from before, but he doesn't really dig them, so I have to sneak it in with some fruit.
