On Monday of our vacation the whole family got together at the beach for a big group photo and then each of the smaller families took pictures with Rolland's Grandma...blue was the theme. It was a beautiful day at Grover Beach that day!

On Tuesday, Rolland's sister Erin convinced us to go on a hummer ride in the dunes at Oceano. Rolland and I rode in the back seats...apparently these are supposed to be the "funnest". It was a good time, about an hours worth of racing around in the sand. I definitely thought we were going to flip a couple of times.
One of our days, we went to Moro Rock and met up with the family. We shopped around a little and then headed back, but not before we got a couple more pictures. Smile Weston!

I have this fascination with taking pictures of the birds and the boats whenever I'm at the ocean, so these are my contribution. I can always count on the pelicans at Avila beach, and I love this fishing pier, but it's kind of stinky there because this is where they cut up the fish when people return from day fishing trips. And the pelicans wait to get the leftovers. This is always the best pier to see the seals too...they're pretty territorial and they are always trying to hang out on the dock under the pier.

After hanging out at the pier it started to warm up enough that we decided to go to the beach and let Weston put his feet in the water. He was already tired and had just woke up from a little cat nap when we decided to change him for the beach. I guess this was my first mistake. When we actually put him on the sand and let the water wash up on his feet...he screamed...then Rolland set him on the dry sand and he screamed more. Finally when we went to the hotel on the way back to the airport, Weston was able to get in the pool and even though it was pretty cold outside, the pool water was warm and he loved it! So cute to see him splashing in it...now ever since then, he acts like a wild man splashing around in the big tub (we had to do away with the baby bath tub already).
