Last week Rolland and I made the decision to drive to Michigan to see my family while my little sister Amy would be in town...she would be flying in on Saturday from Texas and staying only about 4 days, so we knew our trip would be short, but I figured "hey, I haven't seen Amy in years, so it's worth it". We left on Friday when I was post-call from float call. I had had a pretty good call and got about 6 hours of sleep...even though I had to prepare to give a morning report presentation post-call that morning. After my presentation, I did a quick joint injection with the Rheumatologist and ran out of the building. I went home, packed up our stuff, took the dog to the Chief's house for the weekend (which he loves!), and then went to get Weston from school. When Rolland got home we loaded up the car and got on the road...a little later than we had hoped, as we hit Cincinatti traffic and Dayton construction. I was a little annoyed, Weston however, couldn't have cared less...he slept for 4 hours in the car. After we got past Dayton we stopped and changed and fed Weston (in the car at a gas station)...then he of course decided to have a blow-out poop and had to b changed again...that was fun in the car, laying across the console and my lap. We finally made it to Dad and Dee's at 10:00pm...we had a little visit and off to bed.

| The Richardson Family all together ... excpet for cousin Nathan and Nic, Kim and Lucas |
Saturday morning the parents went to get Miss Amy from the airport, and that evening we all had a big "Richardson Family" gathering...potluck style. It was good to see everyone one all together...for some of the family, it's been years since we've seen each other. Grandma was able to meet Weston for the first time...I guess that makes her Great Grandma. Weston was okay, he was passed around the crowd a little and didn't fuss too much, although he did initiate my cousin Sara (I'll spare the details because it was embarrasing for her :) Otherwise it was a really nice visit.
We lost an hour with the Spring Forward time change, so on Sunday morning everyone slept in (except me and Weston) and then We had to head back home...quick trip. Weston was just as much a good sport on the way home as on the way up. He slept all the way to Cincinnati, where we ate at Red Robin (Yum!) and then only started to fuss the last 5 minutes of the trip - fair enough. I really hadn't been feeling great that day; I started to have some achiness, chills and stuff...so when Weston slept through the night, I think he was being nice to me.
