For some terrible reason both of us are loosing our hair. It started last week on Wednesday...when I was combing my wet hair it just started falling out by the handfuls. I noticed the same thing for Weston too when I was giving him a bath that night I washed his hair over the sink like we usually do, and the water was full of his little baby hairs (it looked like the cat laid in the sink). Sad day because his little hair is so darn cute...he's going bald on the sides of his head. On better news, only 4 more pounds and I'll be back to my pre-pregnancy weight...although it's not my ideal weight, it's a start. Now if I could just make time to work out, I'd be doing good.
Rolland is doing well...we're both still adjusting to sleep-deprived life and busy work schedules. Many nights Rolland will get up to feed Weston during the night while I pump so I can go back to sleep for a few hours before we both have to get up for the day...and even then Rolland sometimes has to get Weston dressed (with the clothes I laid out for him) in the morning. Rolland and I are still trying to eat dinner together each night, even if it's late, because then we have time to talk and visit a little - face-to-face. I'm trying to meal plan a little on the weekend so we at least cook meals three or so days a week and fair over leftovers the other days. This seems to be working out well, and if I'm able to send Rolland to the grocery store we actually save money (for some reason he has a better ability to stick to the list than I do). Now we're both starting to scour the internet for yummy new recipes. All-in-all, we're making it, and life is good.
Happy 3 months!! He is super cute in that picture! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I just wanted to say I think it is beyond awesome that you are pumping exclusively so he can have your breastmilk! I know it's tough. I have a friend here that did that for an entire year, and just from playdates with her I could tell how much of a commitment it is. It's not like you can just nurse him and go back to sleep, and when he's awake you have to keep him occupied while you pump and then still take the time to feed him the bottle. So, I just wanted to commend you on that b/c I know it's a LOT of work!!
Good luck on the meal-planning! I couldn't live without doing our weekly meal plan, I don't think! It keeps us on budget, but also I just don't seem to have the time to look in the pantry and try to come up with anything these days. I need it all planned out - even if every night doesn't go as planned (that sometimes just means I already have plans and groceries for a couple nights the next week!), it helps so much!
